FOR ABLETON LIVE · MAX FOR LIVE

Glitch between tracks.
Perform in one place.

Turn your Live set into a hands-on performance. Slide between tracks and glitch controls, switch effect snapshots, and shape transitions from one shared workspace.

Currently in development. Requires Ableton Live with Max for Live; the VST3 is hosted by the included Max device, not used directly.

4Independent groups
4Controls per track
8FX snapshots per track
ONE WORKSPACE. EVERY TRACK.

Built for expressive transitions

01

Slide to perform

Move across four control pads and Random on each track. Pending changes wait for the current glitch block to finish.

02

Your tracks, connected

Track names and colors come from Ableton Live. Four independent groups keep their own playback and muting behavior.

03

Eight effect snapshots

Build a chain of up to four effects per track. Select a snapshot from each control, or choose Random and limit its range from 1 to 8.

04

Shape each gesture

Set length, beat, pitch, pan, reverse probability and effect snapshot independently for each of the four track controls.

05

Glitch or effects only

Repeat captured audio for glitch performance, or keep the incoming audio moving while applying timed effect snapshots and pan.

06

Keep your workflow

Latch performances, adjust fade and offset, and save separate Track, Controls and Effects presets for reuse without changing Live track identities.

FROM YOUR LIVE SET TO ONE EDITOR

A connected performance workflow

  1. Add Rift to your tracks

Place the Rift Max for Live audio device after the instrument on each track you want to control.

  2. Choose a group

Assign tracks to one of four groups from the Max device or the shared editor.

  3. Open the shared workspace

Use the Max device to open Rift. Configure each track's controls and post-glitch effect chain.

  4. Slide, latch and transform

Perform across pads and tracks, with waveform feedback for active and pending regions.
